Long over due but here it goes. Had my wedding here and let me tell you every single person we dealt with was an angel.
We booked the party room since we had 65 guest max. The space was perfect and everyone was comfortable. The dance floor is right next to the seating area past the arch doorway. It was intimate and simply perfect.
I was a very detailed bride and was able to bring things I wanted on each table 2 days before the wedding and everything was done for me and placed right back into the boxes at the end of the night! Who does that? That's what you call great service.
Now the food..geez!! Let me tell you it's delicious. I don't care what anyone says negatively about the food but everyone loved it!! My guests still talk about the food to this day! I've been to more expensive weddings after mine and the food doesn't compare. Not being biased but I could eat so I know what I'm talking about. All that fancy stuff is cute but does it taste good?
The price is also fair. A lot of other catering halls were charging so much for the venue and when you look at it...GUESTS ARE STILL GOING TO COMPLAIN so why not go with a place that listens to you, is beautiful, has great food and won't leave you broke before you even leave to your honeymoon?
I would say make an appointment and see for yourself. Their lists of vendors like florist and dj are phenomenal as well. I didn't use the photographer they have on their vendor list.
Last thing, pay the extra $100 for a custom cake instead of the one that comes with the package. It was gorgeous and tasted out of this world. Their cakes are baked at Russo's on the Bay which is also affiliated with this location.
Villa Russo- what more can I say than Perfection? We booked this venue as soon as we walked in. Almost a year and a half out too and I am so so grateful we trusted our gut. From the moment Jennifer began helping us plan we were treated SO well with so much professionalism and open communication. I could email stupid questions any time of day and it was as if we'd become friends. The food is amazing they are willing to work with your budget and advise so nicely as to what will truly make your dreams come true. This place is gorgeous and we received so many compliments from guests on just the fairy tale aspect of the decor alone. Kim was the best Maitre'd I could have possibly hoped for. She was by my side the entire night and was always five steps ahead of me. I literally felt like a queen all night. The staff are so cordial and polite and set up was so seamless. The food is amazing and beware- you get A LOT of it. All in all I could not have imagined my wedding anywhere else. From our ceremony downstairs in the Grotto Room to the bridal suite upstairs, we were taken care of. Mr. George- thank you so much for being at our event. It meant so much to us that you personally came over to say hello. Now that's how you run a business folks! Being from the Midwest I was nervous that I would not have the "big city" mentality or hardness when it comes to planning such a big event. I literally had no worries in the world and it was absolutely perfect from top to bottom. Thank you so so much Villa Russo and all of your staff. You literally made our dreams come true and we are indebted to you forever!
I couldn't have chosen a better place for my wedding. Everything went smooth, no headaches.Eric and the staff kept everything flowing nicely. Mike turned the place into a party room, the photographer and photo booth made sure our requests were fulfilled. Food was delicious and to conclude more than 20 people got drunk lol too much fun will deft use for my baby shower or any other event.
My husband and I were married on October 15, 2016 and we used Villa Russo for our wedding reception. We started planning our wedding a year ago and Villa Russo made the experience easy. Our Banquet manager Jennifer was absolutely AMAZING!!! She responded to every single email, and phone call and provided fantastic input. The best thing was her understanding of the needs of our son who has Austism and providing the attention to those details. Jennifer made sure very single detail that we talked was taken care of such as; color scheme, reserved seat of honor for my deceased father, to special food for our son with autism. From the napkins to the smallest detail, everything was accommodated. The hall looked amazing and everyone of our guests complimented how beautiful the place was. The food was amazing!!! We choose the sit down dinner style and all I can say is Come hungry!!!! Now I have to sing the praises of our Maitre D, Kim. No words can express our appreciation for all that she did for us from the beginning to end. She coordinated with our vendors to make sure everything ran smoothly, and always made sure we had anything we needed. My husband and I were never without our preferred drink at our table, my guests had no complaints on service, and everyone was happy. She did everything to make our day very memorable. THANK YOU for making our wedding fabulous and giving us and our guest’s memories that we can still talk about today!!!
