3 Queens, NY Wedding Trends

There’s a reason these three wedding trends are so popular. They all add a level of sophistication to your wedding look while allowing for personalization and creativity.

Wedding Nails

From the ring to the bouquet, a bride’s hands are constantly on display throughout her special day. Make sure your nails are on point with these creative and beautiful trending wedding nail designs.

White for French Ombre

This take on a classic nude or French manicure is a fun way to liven up your wedding manicure without venturing too far from tradition.

Gold or Pearls

These nails include two nail trends: delicate gold lines and pearls. Delicate gold details are a great choice for you if you like gold but aren’t a fan of the gold flake trend. Pearl details are listed as the number one wedding nail art trend by Brides magazine in part because they are simple enough to do at home.

Crystals

Incorporating crystals or rhinestones in your nail design is a small addition that can make a big impact on your wedding look. This trend is particularly versatile depending on the placement of crystals. A line of micro-crystals along the nail bed creates a low-key look or go bold and make the rhinestones the star of the show.

Swirls

This nail art trend is especially striking when done in white on a nude or pink nail color.

Green Scheme

It seems fitting that the color green, which symbolizes new beginnings and growth, is a trending wedding color. From olive to emerald, green is having a moment. And from the looks of Pinterest, it isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Get inspired by these green wedding decor and wedding party ideas from The Knot.

Henna Hand Decorations

Mehandi, or henna-stained hands, is a centuries-old bridal custom found in Indian, Turkish, and African communities. Traditionally applied the night before the wedding, the henna designs are intended to calm the bride and bestow upon her joy, luck and beauty.

Over time, henna application has become a recognized art form of its own with distinct regional styles. According to Vogue India, “Arabic (Middle-Eastern) mehandi features large, floral patterns on hands and feet (but only till the wrists and the ankles), while Indian (Asian) mehandi is characterized by fine lines, lacy, floral and paisley patterns covering hands, forearms, feet and legs. And African mehandi is usually large and bold with geometrically patterned angles, often created using black mehandi.”

When considering your own henna designs, get inspired by local New York henna artists Natalia Zamparini and Shamina Akter.
